The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to the organization, to ensure the voice of the membership is being represented effectively, and to provide a strong and professional face to the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Students’ Association.


Abhishek Jain

VP Moose Jaw Campus – vpmoosejaw@spsa.ca

The role of the VP Moose Jaw Campus is primarily to work with the Moose Jaw student body on any problems, concerns or issues that they are experiencing at a campus level.

Abhishek also oversees the SPSA Finance Committee. The purpose of the Finance Committee is to facilitate the oversight and effective financial operations of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Students’ Association (SPSA). The Finance Committee’s responsibilities include reviewing the monthly and quarterly Financial Statements of the SPSA, ensuring the transparency of, and facilitate access to, all the financial documents of the Students’ Association with respect to the members, and reviewing the annual operating budget of the SPSA prior to its presentation and adoption by General Council and internal operations policies.


Naresh Saroye

VP Prince Albert Campus – vppa@spsa.ca

The role of the VP Prince Albert Campus is primarily to work with the Prince Albert student body on any problems, concerns or issues that they are experiencing at a campus level.

Naresh also oversees the SPSA Student Affairs Committee. The Student Affairs Committee examines non-academic, non-governmental issues, sustainability practices at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and provides policy and position statement recommendations to the SPSA General Council. The Committee assists in developing surveys to learn about students’ advocacy needs to develop the SPSA’s yearly advocacy priorities and policies.


Gabriela Pozner

VP Regina Campus – vpregina@spsa.ca

The role of the VP Regina Campus is primarily to work with the Regina student body on any problems, concerns or issues that they are experiencing at a campus level.

Gabriela also oversees the SPSA Governance and Policy Committee. This Committee provides research and advises the General Council on External and Internal Policies. The Committee’s responsibilities include forecasting significant issues, any lobbying strategies and possible resolutions to those issues.  Additionally, this Committee discusses issues and government policy or initiatives relating to post-secondary education at a local, provincial, or federal level, formulates responses for external use when necessary and assigns responsibility for policy action or research initiatives to the General Council members or General Manager.  This committee reviews Bylaws & Policies annually and provides recommendations to the appropriate Councils for approval. The Committee also investigates partnership and strategic organizational opportunities that may benefit the student membership.


Nicole Zalesak

VP Saskatoon Campus – vpsaskatoon@spsa.ca

The role of the VP Saskatoon Campus is primarily to work with the Saskatoon student body on any problems, concerns or issues that they are experiencing at the campus level.

Nicole also oversees the SPSA Academic Affairs Committee. The Academic Affairs Committee reviews all Saskatchewan Polytechnic academic policies, admissions processes and student access to Saskatchewan Polytechnic programming. The Committee works with the SPSA Student Advocates to understand systemic student concerns in the area of academics which is forwarded to the SPSA General Council for possible concern resolutions and developing position statements as needed.
