Saskatoon Kayak Club
Introduction To Kayaking – 2 Day Course in Saskatoon
This introductory course introduces beginner/novice paddlers to the basic skills required to paddle whitewater kayaks safely on Class I rivers similar to the South Saskatchewan River.
CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION – MAY 8 – 7-9PM – ROOM 128 MAIN SASKATOON CAMPUS
Focusing on river safety, gear requirements and equipment selection for on-water instruction. Maximum 20 participants.
ON-WATER INSTRUCTION – MAY 11 OR 12 – 1-4PM – SASKATOON
Students will have the choice of either day of instruction. Maximum 10 people per day. Book early to help ensure you receive your preferred day. Instruction on the South Saskatchewan River.

Introduction To Whitewater Kayaking – 2 Day Course in Kananaskis
2 DAY ON-RIVER COURSE – MAY 31 & JUNE 1
Designed to introduce novice paddlers to the skills required to paddle faster moving water (Class I-II). Intro to River Kayaking course or equivalent is a pre-requisite. All necessary paddling gear available for a fee. Participants will need to provide their own transportation and arrive in Kananaskis on Thursday, May 30th. Two full days of instruction on Friday and Saturday departing Sunday.
