October 2025
Welcome back to a brand-new academic year! Whether you’re just starting or returning for another semester, we’re so glad you’re here. September always feels like a fresh start—and your SPSA has been busy making sure things kick off strong, and we’re excited to share a few key updates with you.
- VP Regina By-Election – The SPSA held a by-election on October 2 for the vacant VP Regina position. Sujal Ramani was voted in with 67.5% in support.
- SPSA Scholarship Donation – We’re excited to announce that the SPSA contributed to student scholarships—an investment in you and your peers to help lighten the load of tuition and fees.
- New Accounting System – A little behind-the-scenes upgrade—we’re in the process of rolling out a new accounting system that will make our operations smoother and more transparent.
- Prince Albert & Moose Jaw Campus Master Planning Meetings – We’ve been at the table to make sure student voices shape the future of our campuses.
- Strategic Plan Revamp – This year, we’re refreshing our long-term plan to reflect today’s student needs—your input is key here! We will be conducting focus groups on each campus. Watch out for more details on our website and social media feeds.
- Campus Representative Appointments – We’ve welcomed new Campus Representatives on each main campus location, who will bring your ideas and concerns forward—say hi if you see them around!
- General Council Meeting – Our first General Council Meeting of the year is just around the corner. It will typically set the tone for what’s ahead, with discussions on everything from advocacy to events.
- Council Connect – It’s your chance to connect directly with your Executive Council, ask questions, and share what’s on your mind! Keep an eye out for opportunities to chat with your student leaders and share what matters most.
The start of the year is just the beginning. We’ve got events, clubs, and advocacy initiatives lined up, and we’ll keep sharing updates as they unfold. Most importantly, we want you to know: your voice matters, and we’re here to listen.
