SPSA Health and Dental Plan
The SPSA has worked to develop and implement a reasonably priced health and dental insurance plan. Full or part-time students in a core program that is 12 weeks or more in length are automatically enrolled. To verify if you have been enrolled in the program or to see if you are eligible to opt in, see the SPSA Office in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina or Saskatoon.
Information regarding the student’s eligibility and enrollment in the Health and Dental Plan can only be shared with that student. Information cannot be shared with parents, teachers, and/or providers unless explicitly authorized by the student.
You can learn more about the plan by visit mystudentplan.ca.
- If you have been enrolled in the Health and Dental Program, the fee will be automatically accessed in your tuition.
- The validation period, or black out period is the time it takes the college to supply our carriers with the information pertaining to the students who are participating in the plan. During this black out period, coverage is in effect, however Care Cards will not work until the process is complete. The validation period usually takes 60 days for this process.
- A Benefits Card is available for enrolled students at the SPSA Office in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon and will be distributed upon verification of plan coverage.
- Enrolled students are covered for 12 full months. Coverage starts the first day of the month that your program begins.
